Take the Veil

Take The Veil and The Secrets shall be Unveiled

When a woman says to herself,
"I would take the veil,
and make a vow."

Then, there would be a path
that she will walk on
and she shall never look back
nor come back

Like Sara, she never regrets
and Hagar, she never complains
and Mary, she always prays
and Fatima, she always serves
on the path of Light
to the garden of Truth

Never distracted. Always devoted.
for Love.

Ya Maryam 'Alayka'l Salaam!!!

O Mary, Peace Be Upon You!!
!

1. TOGETHER IN BLACK

Walking towards the Light

Wearing black yet always bright

as Bride. in Pride.

Remember those and these dark days

Tomorrow the veil
s shall be flags

Marching for the Awaited Truth

2. DEEP THOUGHTS IN BLACK

Holding my rosary

Looking at myself in fiery

My black veil, the greatest furry

for winter and summer,

for spring and autumn...

I walk with thoughts just for Him

Our faces

Our eyes

Our black veil

Different time zone

Different world

Yet, we take the veil. We take the vow.

3. THREE BLACK PEARLS ON EARTH

Oh, Mother Earth

Can't you see

three black pearls

hidden under the shells?

Oh, Mother Earth

Can't you see

three black pearls

buried under the sand?

3. WHITE AND CLEAN

"And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved" (Genesis 20:16)

"O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies. That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever Oft-Giving, Most Merciful." (Al Ahzab, 33:59)

5. BLACK AND CHARISMATIC

"And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel. For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a veil, and covered herself." (Genesis 24: 64-65)

"And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils all over (their bodies) and not to reveal their adornments except to their husbands, or their fathers, or.....And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful" (An-Nur, 24: 31)

6. PRAY IN BLACK AND WHITE

I take the veil as a way of life in His sacred love.

I receive the veil as a sign of consecration.

I look up and I look down.

I see nothing.

I can't see anyone.

but You.

7. TOGETHER IN HARMONY

Those days have passed...

Yet, today we can still see

Smiling faces

in beautiful veils

We

Take the veils
.

We

Take the path of God

8. SMILE FOR A BETTER WORLD

Then Boaz said to Ruth, "Bring the veil that you have on you, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and she went into the city." (Ruth 3:15)

Narrated Safiya bint Shaiba: "Aisha used to say: 'When (the Verse): "They should draw their veils (Khumur) over their necks and bosoms (juyyub)," was revealed, (the ladies) cut their waist sheets at the edges and covered their faces with the cut pieces.'" (Sahih al-Bukhari 6:60:282, Sunnan Abu Dawud 32:4091)

9. ALMOST WHITE

Having nuns wear habits brings God to others...(from "A Catholic Life")

Having muslimah wear hijab brings God in themselves...(from my own thoughts)

A nun, she is out there living her life for Jesus. (from "A Catholic Life")

A muslimah, she is out there living her life for Allah. (from my own thoughts)

We

both live for Him.

all for One;

One for all.

10. WIMPLE

from time to time

wimple

may not seems simple

elaborately starched and creased

folded in prescribed ways

Covers the head

worn around the neck and chin.

(Wimple, Wikipedia)

11. OLD AND YOUNG
When I was young I ask my mother

what would I be?

When I am a mother

I ask my daughter

what would you like to be?

What ever will be will be

I will take the veil

and live up with it.

12. BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL

I can see black everywhere....

sitting or walking

in pleasures

or in shrines

don't you love black??

I can see black anytime and anywhere....

as brides of Christ
or repentance

(clothes of nuns)

or in the habit

or in black veils

and Chador

while reading Bible

or while praying Qunut

or while holding the divine candles

or gathering in the divine places

or being together in the crowd of mass

or sitting together at the park

or while walking towards the market

or standing for her respected leader

or surrounded by her sacred paintings

Or teaching the younger nun

Or taking her daughter along

or alone

or with a companion

on the seaside

or in the house of God

black...black...black... beautiful in its divine mistery

13. SURROUNDED BY WHITE

white and clean

to see You, o Lord!

Any man who prays or prophesies with his head covered brings shame upon his head. But any woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled brings shame upon her head, for it is one and the same thing as if she had had her head shaved. For if a woman does not have her head veiled, she may as well have her hair cut off. But if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should wear a veil. A man, on the other hand, should not cover his head, because he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; nor was man created for woman, but woman for man; for this reason a woman should have a sign of authority on her head, because of the angels. Woman is not independent of man or man of woman in the Lord. For just as woman came from man, so man is born of woman; but all things are from God. Judge for yourselves: is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head unveiled? Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears his hair long it is a disgrace to him, whereas if a woman has long hair it is her glory, because long hair has been given (her) for a covering? But if anyone is inclined to be argumentative, we do not have such a custom, nor do the churches of God (1 Corinthians 11:4-16)

Every woman has the right to take the veil

and has the right to live with it.
